You’re Beautiful

December 28, 2011

You don’t know you’re beautiful..

A lot of women, especially teens humiliate themselves because they think they’re not that beautiful. Because of commercialism, standards of being beautiful started to change and the true meaning started to obliterate.

Being beautiful…

…is not about our physical features

Glowing fair skin, shiny straight hair, pointed nose, good set of pearly white teeth and a basketball player-like height-those are today’s basis of pretty-o-meter.

…but it’s about what’s inside our hearts

Physical beauty is just temporary yet what inside us is duly permanent. Kindle spirit and generous heart is much more important. Believe it or not, women having this personality glow from inside to outside.

…is not about the how we dress up

How many minutes or even hours do you spend inside you room thinking of what best fits you? How many days or weeks do you save up for that glam clothe you’ve seen at high-end store? That’s the not-so-good thing commercialism brought to us. It inculcates in our minds that we should always dress up even over-the-top just to look fabulous. That we should always wear branded items to feel good inside and stand out.

…but it’s about how we carry ourselves

You don’t have to wear luxury items from head ’til toe just to feel pretty. As my motto says-it’s not about the brand,it’s about the style. It’s about how you carry yourselves in front of others. What’s the use of wearing sheer top plus five inch heels combo if you’ll just feel uneasy? Keep in mind that-what you wear reflects who you really are. Stop following trends and try to make one.

…is not about how brilliant we are

Some of us are grade conscious (aminin) because we always wanted to prove to others that we have the it factor. That we’ll shine if we’ll get an A+.Yes, getting high grades at school and such talents make us feel much more confident and prove who we really are but it’s not where it ends.

…but how we use such talents and wisdom

It’s all about application. How do you apply your school-gained knowledge in real life situations? Reflect.

“The Lord does not look at the outside appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”

P.S.

Reflect and see how beautiful you really are… ❤
