Back to Basic

October 17, 2011

In the present time, almost all of us are investing in pieces which are sunod sa uso (trendy) and most likely attention grabber without considering if the items are worth buying. Sometimes, we’re tempted to purchase clothes because of their cute designs, embellishments and/or catchy pop of colors yet we don’t think if they’re really essential in our closet. So I’ve come to realize that we should first invest on basics.Today,I pulled some basic items out of  my closet to make an outfit post.

Here’s what I wore…

After a long time of searching for a perfect white boyfriend blazer,I’ve finally found one!Cheers! Plus,it’s on sale when I’ve spotted it at Meg* swerte >:)

It’s a good investment especially for girls like me who always sports basic tank top plus shorts combo. It’s so meeeeeeeee 🙂 I remember during my high school years, tank top+shorts+flip flops had always been my uniform. But with the help of a perfect fit boyfriend blazer, any casual outfit can be transformed into a more formal-y look.Instant transformation! 🙂

FASHION RULE TO LIVE BY

Invest on basics. One can never go wrong in investing basic pieces in her closet.Tank tops, denim shorts, blazers to mention a few.Though trends transcend trough time these items don’t. You can use these items whether for a casual look or a formal one.Don’t waste your money buying clothes which can be useful only for a short span of time but in pieces that will surely last.Mix and match what you have in your closet-be creative.
